The Lord and Lady of Lothlorien

Quick post today, and apologies for being few and far between! I've been doing a good bit of work travel, but also playing and painting Battletech (bonus picture at the end!) Anyhow, I've been really wanting to try Galadriel, Lady of Light but I really don't like the spooky Galadriel model... so I've been sitting on the pajama Celeborn and Galadriel pack for a while and decided it'd be a nice quick evening of painting.

Nothing too crazy to report on these- it's a pretty basic contrast paint job. White Scar base, then Grey Seer. Then over the white fabric I painted pure white on the highlights. I'm quite happy with the depth. Galadriel's ramen noodle hair is just Nazdreg yellow. Celeborn's sash is Space Wolves Grey while his robe is 50/50 Grey Seer and Basilicanum grey with a drop of space wolves and a bit of contrast medium.
I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! Shame that unarmored and unarmed Celeborn will probably never ever see play on my tabletop...

TFW you don't see Gandalf even though you much desire to speak with him.

I keep toying with the idea of either: expanding this blog to be more about my personal gaming or starting a Battletech specific blog. I just can't help but document... pretty much everything!

Tabletop Admiral MESBG Army Builder now Live!

Many of you who have frequented this blog and checked out some of my battle reports may have noticed just how nice my army lists looked! This is all thanks to Andrew, the developer of Tabletop Admiral. Many moons ago he worked on a modular system for his list builder and I volunteered to be the steward of the MESBG data- tirelessly click-clacking away to get your favorite profiles digitized! This builder is AWESOME. I've been using even the earliest alpha versions of it for well over a year and nothing else comes close. Love it to pieces! IF YOU COME ACROSS BUGS PLEASE E-MAIL ME DIRECTLY AT NowForWrathBlog@gmail.com The text below the cut is from Andrew's original announcement on Reddit, and details how to use the builder!

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

Isengard vs Minas Tirith & Rohan in Retrieval. 800 points!!

In today's game we ask the question: What if Gondor DID show up as the Westfold was falling, and the Westfold looked a lot like Osgiliath? Read on to see!
