The Witch King of Angmar

In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl. A great black shape against the fires beyond he loomed up, grown to a vast menace of despair. In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl, under the archway that no enemy ever yet had passed, and all fled before his face.

Honestly the Witch King is maybe my favorite UNIT in MESBG and possibly even my favorite model (Or... set of models).

I love how flexible he is! He is decent at combat- especially with the Crown of Morgul atop the Fell Beast. He's also a very sly spellcaster with strong magic and mobile while on horse.

The Fell beast has a bit of a learning curve- knowing when and where to commit took some practice, but eventually I got very comfortable with this unit and it can be quite devastating. Fly is amazing. Once I flew over a Survivors of Laketown army, picked up one of Bards' kids, and chucked her into the ranks with a nasty hurl. Gruesome but... suitably evil.

I've never used the Morgul Blade. Seems... too situational. But the Crown of Morgul on the other hand is an auto-include. His casting is bonkers good!

500 point tournament report with Rivendell

I was really excited to play in a 500 point tournament over the weekend! It was the second of four connected tournaments in the "To War!" escalation series hosted at Your Hobby Place in Fredericksburg, VA. My report from the first tournament can be found here, where my Rivendell forces took third overall!

The game room overhaul

After a few years, it was time for a total game room overhaul. I had the space trying to pull triple duty with a couch/TV space, my office, and the game room. Frankly, it was feeling too cramped, looking too cluttered, and the TV was barely seeing any use. So, with the support of my fiancee (6 weeks till the big day! It's a big part of what's been keeping me so busy, dear readers) I did a complete overhaul of the game room.
